The death of pioneering Nigerian filmmaker and founder of the African Movie Academy Awards, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, was announced Tuesday morning.

Anyiam-Osigwe, who was also president of the Film Producers Association, died in a hospital in Lagos state.
