As Nigeria approaches the 2023 presidential election, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has said that only God can prevent All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu from succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari.
Sule said that the northern APC governors would use their resources and do anything to ensure that Tinubu is victorious.
Speaking at the Kokona local government area at the campaign rally of APC’s senatorial candidate for Nasarawa West, architect Shehu Tukur.
He said: “The governors of the APC North will use their resources to ensure that Tinubu emerges as president of the country. If there’s anyone who wants Tinubu to become president, it’s the governors of the Northern APC.
“Only God can stop Tinubu and A. A Sule from becoming president and governor respectively. We are determined to commit our resources and forces to conquer any form of opposition.”
Sule also dismissed claims that some APC governors were secretly working with Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar against Tinubu.
He described such claims as a falsehood that Nigerians should ignore.
“These are blatant lies. The APC North governors stood their ground for Tinubu to emerge, they will do anything to make him president,” he said.
