The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has advised Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to give up its candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
The NNPP also discredited claims that Kwankwaso is in talks with Atiku ahead of the presidential election.
This position was presented by the NNPP national chairman, Rufa’i Alkali, who in Abuja on Wednesday, February 1, stated that the PDP is in disarray.
According to Alkali, Kwankwaso has justified his position as a forerunner in the upcoming general elections.
The national chief of the NNPP advised Atiku not to go so low to impose himself on the Nigerians.
He is sure that when it comes to Northern Nigeria, Kwankwaso is the best choice; Alkali added that it will be a disaster if Nigerians make the mistake of voting for Asiwaju BolaAhmed Tinubu.

“What would someone in Northern Nigeria want to offer, if not Kwankwaso, since they are now talking about Northern Nigeria? The NNPP completely dissociates itself from Atiku Abubakar’s antics. We want Atiku Abubakar to give up Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
“It will be a big mistake and a tragedy to allow APC to continue to govern Nigeria. If people have doubts, let them go and think again.
“It is also a tragedy to allow some of these people who caused most of these problems to come back again. Parties have taken their presidential candidates to court; This is what we have called mutual assured destruction.”
