Nigeria continues to enjoy victory and international attention as young creatives continue to emerge in the entertainment industry, which has accounted for the country’s ability to sustain victory across various entertainment-related award platforms.
This was the story of the recently concluded 8th All-Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), tagged: ‘The Teranga Edition’, held on January 15 at the 15,000 capacity Dakar Arena, in Dakar, Senegal.
The voting period for the awards began on September 25, 2022 and ended on January 13.
The voting procedure and results were reviewed and collated by a highly reputable international auditor, Pricewaterhousecoopers (PwC), auditors of the Oscars.
The awards night saw superstars from across the African continent win trophies and Nigerian artists were seen as the most successful on African soil.
