Ekop said that those behind the alleged expulsion letter were outside APC.
He said that at no time enang committed any offense that should justify expulsion from the match.
“Ordinarily, we would have allowed such a publication, knowing that it is meaningless and does not have the compelling capacity to distract the party or the distinguished Senator Ita Enang, who is the backbone of the party at the LGA and state levels.
“For the sake of the public, who may be fooled into believing this is a lie from the pit of hell, we want to set the record straight, that Enang is still a member of APC, Eastern Ward 2, Ibiono Ibom LGA of Akwa Ibom.
“We have not received any news or petition from the president of the Eastern District 2 against him at any time.
“Enang is the only light and voice of the party at the local level, as well as the well-known voice in Akwa Ibom who has always been speaking for the party.” Ekop said.
He added that the former presidential adviser has been a very dedicated, committed and sincere member of APC who has been questioning the opposition on transparency issues with public funds in the state.
The chapter president said that the alleged expulsion was the work of mischievous people and also an insult to the entire Ibiono Ibom LGA.
He urged those behind the post to offer an unreserved apology to Enang within 72 hours.
In addition, Enang had described the expulsion as fake news in a previous statement and that should be ruled out.
He urged the party leaders and the many members and all the Akwa Ibom people to ignore him and continue to work with him in the interest of the party.
“I just saw a fake news on social media about my leadership and status in Akwa Ibom APC.
“I urge all the leaders and many members of our great party to ignore the same and continue to work with me and all other party leaders and members for the success of the Party in all elections.
“I urge our members to cooperate and work together to welcome our President His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari and our Presidential Candidate His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima and all the national leaders of our party at the rally. APC State Presidential. Coming soon on January 30 in Uyo.
“We should focus on mobilizing for the demonstration and not get distracted by irrelevancies,” he said.
