All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu says Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and Labor Party candidates Peter Obi cannot become Nigeria’s president in next year’s elections month.

Tinubu, however, said he was “too confident” Nigerians would vote overwhelmingly for him in next month’s poll.

The APC presidential candidate, who said this at the party’s presidential campaign event in Akure over the weekend, said Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria’s former vice president, would rather sell the country to the highest bidder if given the chance to rule Nigeria.

Tinubu said: “I will win this election, Atiku cannot do it, he does not want to build a better nation, but would rather sell your birthright to the highest bidder. Atiku’s policies and actions are nothing.

“Obi has a chance to show himself as a progressive when he was Governor of Anambra State, but all he could do was boast that he saved money when he was Governor of Anambra State.

“Obi has nothing to be proud of, but he made the people of Anambra cry and claimed to be the union leader of the party.

“My running mate and I Shettima are ready to renew hope through empowering all of you, if you give me your mandate as promised, I will work very hard, put money in your pocket.

“Our rally (campaign) today signals a new hope for Nigeria. I know that by February 25 you would go and make a wise decision. Would you vote for me?

“I’m too sure you would vote for me. You would vote for APC. We will vote and we will win. This incoming election is ours, it is the inheritance vote. It is a vote of three in one. Don’t lose your PVCs and don’t let them steal your vote,” he said.

Tinubu added that the presidential race would be about capacity and ability to deliver on election promises.

However, the former two-term governor of Lagos state said both Atiku and Obi cannot be entrusted with power if they are elected president of the country.

“Atiku (Abubakar) can’t do it because you can’t trust him with power. Obi (Peter) is very stingy. He has the chance to save people when he is governor in Anambra, but he prefers to save money,” he added.

Tinubu charged his party faithful and political supporters to continue their “aggressive” campaigns by ensuring that the APC emerged victorious in the general election.

Earlier, Ondo Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu said the people of the state would cast massive votes for Tinubu in the February 25 election.

Among those who attended the campaign rally were; Governor of Ogun, Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Lagos, Babatunde Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Kano, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, former Governor of Ogun, Ibikunle Amosun, Immediate Past Governor of Osun, Gboyega Oyetola, among others.
