FCT, Abuja – President Muhammadu Buhari has called on Nigerians to stop politicians with the most corrupt leanings from taking power in the 2023 elections.

The president revealed this while reiterating his position to leave behind a credible electoral legacy ahead of the presidential and other elections scheduled for February 25 and March 11, Leadership reported.

Buhari tells Nigerians who they should vote for

According to the President, politicians with corrupt tendencies will lead the country “into the dark days”, adding that he is leaving a legacy of zero tolerance for corruption.

Buhari made the remarks at a conference organized by the presidential anti-corruption advisory committee (PACAC) in Abuja on Thursday, January 26.

The president, who was represented by the federation’s Secretary of Government (SGF), pointed out that his fight against corruption has resulted in an improvement in the functioning of government ministries, departments and agencies (MDA).

He pointed out that the deployment of many reforms and technology helped to show off the fight against corruption.

Mustapha said:

“These feats have been accomplished thanks to the excellent performance of anti-corruption agencies. The activities of ICPC, EFCC, NFIU and the Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with the Police and DSS for arrests, prosecutions, convictions and asset recovery, are quite commendable.”

legit.ng Earlier reported that Muhammadu Buhari, the president of Nigeria, inaugurated a 14-man steering committee to curb the growing threat of fuel shortages in the country.

The steering committee will ensure that there is an adequate supply of the product and that the appropriate prices are met by the traders.

The president took the move after massive condemnation from Nigerians over the shortages and the increase in the price of the product.
