Reports say that the bandits stormed the community at around 3 am on Sunday, January 15, 2023, and began shooting sporadically as they walked up the hill where the reverend father’s house is located.

A resident told him the punch that the bandits divided into two groups while one rushed to the official residence of the Catholic priest, the other stayed in the town to avoid any form of resistance.

CAN sent its condolences to the Catholic Diocese of Minna, to the parishioners and to all of Christendom, as well as to the immediate family of the murdered priest.
