The general secretary, CAN Youth Wing FCT chapter, Mr. Joseph Daramola, made the call at a mega youth conference in Abuja on Sunday.

He said that Nigerian youths were hit psychologically and emotionally, therefore they are eager to do the right things amid the fear of the unknown.

“That is why we encourage all young people to be brave. If someone wants to bribe you, say no! If someone wants you to sell your vote, say no!

“You have the right to make sure you do what you have to do and be brave about it,” he said.

Damarola said that each political party had the right to choose whoever they wanted as a running mate, of the same faith or not.

“The one thing as Christians and youth leaders is that we just have to urge our people to come out and vote their conscience.”

Daramola expressed optimism that INEC had ensured that all votes would count, therefore people should get their PVCs and cast their votes for whoever they think will move Nigeria forward.

CAN Youth Wing FCT chapter president at FCT, Mr. Chike Egolum, said he supported a balanced ticket.

He said that the CAN was against any incentive offer just to get their support, adding that the organization was impartial and objective.

Egolum affirmed that politics was not dirty as many people have labeled it, if good-hearted people participated.

He added that if people would participate in politics as good Christians and Muslims, the field of politics would be sanitized.
