President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians to focus more on new technologies to improve agriculture and provide energy to ensure mass food production and industrialization of the country.

The president made the revelation while commissioning the Malam Alu Ago Allied Company and unveiling Nigeria’s tallest flag at the Birninkudu Local Government Area in Jigawa State.

The president called on the privileged people and use his initiative to ensure that they use technology to solve the economic, social and infrastructure challenges in Nigeria.

He said: “I called on everyone who can afford it to use the technology. Technology is something that will solve many of our problems.”

“Use your head more, your initiative and use technology and I believe with determination to succeed in the initiative.

“I am impressed with the structure seen in the Malam Alu farms, especially the solar panels.”

He instructed the governor of the central bank, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, to ensure that he fully recovered all agricultural and lending facilities.

“On this loan that you raised, it’s between you and the governor of the central bank,” Buhari said.

Speaking earlier, Malam Alu Farms Chairman Hon. Faruk Adamu Aliyu said that the farm was started and established under President Buhari’s fertilizer initiative project.
