Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has called on All Progressive Congress (APC) supporters in the state to unite and avoid all kinds of tribalism politics.
Governor Buni made the call on Sunday while speaking shortly after the inauguration of the state APC Campaign Council for 2023.
He claimed that the state would not progress if the people engaged in the use of tribalism to achieve political goals.
In his acceptance speech, APC state campaign council chairman Senator Ibrahim Geidam praised the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state for the trust placed in him to run the state campaign for the elections. generals of 2023.
According to him, this important undertaking has certainly started the process of inspiring optimism and building confidence for the future of APC and the state.
In his remarks, Senate President Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, who is the deputy chairman of the campaign council, said that they would be fully committed to ensuring that APC in the state handed over all the seats by the grace of God.
APC’s inaugurated campaign council is comprised of Senator Ibrahim Geidam and former State Governor, President, Senate President Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, Acting President, Governor Mai Mala Buni, Vice President, Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim, Grand Patron while Senator Mohammed Hassan, general director of the Campaign Council.
Others are Hon Lawan Shettima Ali and a member representing Bursari, Yunusari and Geidam Federal District, Zone A Deputy Director General, Prof.Mohammed Bello Kawauwa, Zone B Deputy Director General, Alhaji Mohammed Isma’ila Nguru, Deputy Director general of zone C, while Hon Barma Shettima will serve as secretary of the council.
