Like most years, at the start of the New Year, the curtain is officially drawn to close Detty December for the Nigerian entertainment space.
Every December in the holiday season, Nigeria is transformed into an ogbonge celebratory mood as local and international musicians host nightly concerts, street festivals and non-stop beach parties and dis na how dem come about di Detty December slang wey don dey popular even outside of di kontri.
2022 Detty December comes with my own ogbonge package like all odes that don’t pass. Di highlights how celebrities flock to the day’s concerts and how they happen during some of the concerts and become talking points on social media.
