The second edition was scheduled to take place in Nigeria, Africa, in 2020, and had already received support from the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all plans came to a halt.
The China-Africa Youth Football (Friendly) Tournament (CAYF) remains a platform to provide opportunities for host countries to showcase their culture and tourism potential, business, services and products to other participating countries.
