For Vera Wisdom-Bassey

He The theme of the program was “The King has decided to honor you”. It’s a lot of people from far and near. One of those who graced the occasion was the presidential candidate of the Labor Party, Mr. Peter Obi.

At the event, Obi urged Nigerians to be prepared to take back their country from unproductive politicians through their votes in the upcoming elections.

Obi, whose visit to the Lord’s Chosen Renaissance Ministry caused an uproar among the church faithful, urged them not to vote on ethnic or religious grounds, but to use their vote to lead the country out of the lingering misrule of worn-out politicians.

The former governor of Anambra State lamented the economic problems Nigerians were going through. He described bad leadership as the worst thing that can happen to anyone, regardless of their ethnicity or religion. According to him, the upcoming elections are a platform for Nigerians to take advantage of and bring back the past glory of the country by voting for the right candidate who has the ability to change things.

He regretted that Nigeria was a great country but its leaders have made it a livable place. He said: “We want a government that is capable of providing people with sources of livelihood, where nobody’s sons and daughters can become somebody.

“On Election Day, don’t leave it the way it used to be. Apart from praying, we don’t want this country to continue like this. I assure you that God is going to take control of this country. We will start by choosing a good leader.”

Also speaking during the program, the church’s general supervisor, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, urged people to continue serving God, and He would honor all those who serve Him faithfully. He said: “God will reward you with good things. God will give you gold and not bronze because you are one of the first; your life will never be shortened. God will preserve the just, and will defend them, and with heaven at last.”

He emphasized that all who honor God’s invitation will be honored: “God has power to do all things; with him there is no limitation on what he does.” Therefore, he encouraged people to keep their faith in God. He also called on Nigerians to prioritize honoring God in things, “live a life of righteousness because this is the foundation of success.”
