Vanguard reported that the PDP chairman spoke through his media aide Simon Imobo-Tswam in Abuja on Wednesday.

Imobo-Tswam said that the speculation was the work of mischievous people, adding that Ayu has not seen Wike recently.

“Dr. Ayu clearly states that: 1. He has never traveled to Port Harcourt and 2. He has not seen Governor Wike lately.

“The photography that is a trend in social networks is old. The accompanying story is therefore false and mischievous,” the statement read.

Ayu enjoys New Year holidays with her family, says Imobo-Tswam

Imobo-Tswam further said that its director, Ayu, is not under siege, adding that the PDP national chairman is enjoying the New Year holidays with his family.

He urged members of the general public, especially members of the PDP, to ignore the story and focus on the 2023 general election.
