Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has given his voice to suggestions that he will defect from the party.

Speaking in Benin City, the capital of Edo state, on Wednesday, January 4, during his visit with Governor Godwin Obaseki, Kwankwaso noted that things will soon start to unfold in Nigeria ahead of the presidential election.

Kwankwaso said the talk that he plans to join another party is nonsense because it will never happen, TheCable reports.

Speaking about the current economic difficulties in the country, the former Kano governor criticizes some politicians and some of his colleagues who vow to carry on the legacies of the Buhari-led government.

His words:

“It is utter nonsense. It will not happen.

“We believe in the NNPP; that in the coming weeks many things are going to happen in this country.
