The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retired), has appointed Dr. Sani Man-Yahaya as the sixth substantive Chancellor of Ede Federal Polytechnic, Osun State.

The appointment was contained in a letter signed by the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu and made available to the punch in Osogbo on Wednesday by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Sola Lawal.

According to the letter, the appointment was for a single five-year term beginning November 21, 2022 and is in line with the amended Federal Polytechnic Law (2019).

Lawal, in a statement containing the new rector’s resume, further said that Man-Yahaya was the immediate past vice-chancellor of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger state.

“He was educated at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, where he obtained his B. Eng. in Computer Engineering in 1994, MSc. Telecommunications Engineer in 2008 at the Ahmadu Bello Zaria University and PhD. Wireless and Control Engineering in 2014 also at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

“Dr. Sani Man-Yahaya joined the service of Bida Federal Polytechnic in 1996 and served in various positions at the institution before becoming a full professor at the same institution,” the statement concluded.
