President Muhammadu Buhari, who is due to step down in 4 months, has revealed that he has no property outside of Nigeria and no one can accuse him of embezzlement.

Speaking at the state banquet held in his honor in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital, on Monday evening, January 9, the president said: “I don’t have one square inch outside of Nigeria,” Premium Times reported.

Buhari then urged Nigerians to remain patriotic, reiterating his position 30 years ago that Nigerians have no other country and everyone must stay to save the country.

The president noted that the critical security problem his administration inherited some 8 years ago remained the potent and pervasive threat of terrorism.

In their joy, normality has returned to the affected states, particularly in the Northeast.

The president’s revelation comes at a time when he is preparing to leave office in less than 4 months.
