Former Super Falcons star Ayisat Yusuf-Aromire set out to empower young girls through the She Football Conference.

The two-day conference is scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Lagos State Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Hall, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The theme of the conference is ‘Developing women’s football beyond limits’.

Eight women’s soccer clubs; DreamStar Ladies, Royaltoms Queens, Phoenix Queens, Lakeside Queens, Ijamido Queens, English Queens, Future Stars Queens and Nakamura Queens will compete in the SheFootball Cup.

Organizer and former Super Falcons star Ayisat Yusuf-Aromire has revealed that the mastermind behind the Shefootball conference is to develop women’s football.

Ayisat is the first African woman to win the FIFPRO merit award for the voice of the player said that the game will continue to improve with programs like the conference.

“The priority for anyone involved in women’s football must be development. This is an opportunity to be a part of women’s soccer, through the SheFootballConference. There is still a lot of work to be done so that the potential of women’s football can be integrated and maximized.

“Maybe, that is one of the reasons behind the SheFootballConference, which has been taking place for the last five years. We will continue our mission to provide opportunities and positive experiences for women who aspire to progress in the sport, through the SheFootballConference,” she said.
