The Kano State Religious Affairs Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Adam, also known as Baba Impossible, has been relieved of his post.

State Information and Home Affairs Commissioner Malam Muhammad Garba, who announced the commissioner’s dismissal in a statement issued on Saturday, said the dismissal took immediate effect.

He said that the dismissal of the commissioner and member of the State Executive Council was due to his improper attitude as a public servant, as well as unsuspecting statements.

Garba noted that he was also found running his office affairs as a personal business and unilaterally reducing working days for ministry staff, exempting Wednesdays and Fridays.

He added that in addition to operating without due consultation, “Baba Impossible” has not been loyal to the government.

He further announced that Governor Abdullahi Ganduje sent to the state House of Assembly the name of a candidate in person, Dr. Nazifi Ishaq Bichi of the University of Bayero, Kano, as a replacement for selection and appointment as the new commissioner.
