The Federal Capital Territory Police Command launched a manhunt after gunmen suspected of being kidnappers killed one man, Benjamin Ogundare, and kidnapped two others identified as Goodluck Ogundare and Janet Ogundare in the community of Ushafa in the Council from the Bwari area of ​​Abuja on Wednesday.

Our correspondent deduced that the gunmen attacked an apartment behind the Local Government Education Authority Primary School near Going-Park, firing sporadically between 1:00am and 1:30am on Wednesday.

Sources said the deceased, Ogundare, fought with the gunmen before he was killed and his relatives were abducted.

Confirming the incident, FCT PPRO Josephine Adeh said: “On Wednesday January 11 at around 06:00 am, the police control room received a distress call that armed thugs broke into the village of Ushafa through the FCT Bwari Area Council. .

“Information was relayed to Bwari Police Division Headquarters and other Command security apparatus around the area mobilized intelligence and tactical assets to the scene.

“Seeing the officers, the goons rushed to shoot one Benjamin Ogundare and kidnapped the duo of Goodluck Ogundare and Janet Ogundare.

“The victim was rushed to the hospital where a doctor on duty confirmed his death. An aggressive hunt and rescue mission has been launched after the goons while the investigation continues.”
