The agency announced the opening of the portal on Monday, January 16, 2023 through its verified Twitter handle.

Recruitment is classified into superintendent cadre, inspection cadre and assistant cadre.

A statement on the portal indicated that “The Civil Defense, Fire, Correctional and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for full-time appointments to fill existing vacancies in the following positions in the Civil Defense Service: Nigerian Immigration (NIS)”.

Applicants are expected to submit their applications online. within two (2) weeks from the date of publication.

The statement added that there would be a computer-based test for shortlisted candidates.

Applications must be made online. Candidates are expected to login to the portal https://cdcfib.career of Monday, January 16, 2023and complete and submit the online application form.

Candidates are also advised to note that multiple applications will automatically be disqualified.

Applicants must be Nigerian by birth;

Have National Identity Number;

Applicants must hold the necessary qualifications and certificates;

Applicants must be fit and present certificates of medical fitness from hospitals recognized by the Government;

Applicants must be of good character and not have been convicted of any criminal offences;

Being required to pass drug tests;

Applicants should not feel financially embarrassed;

Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30, with the exception of doctors and pharmacists who must not be older than 35;

The height of the applicants must not be less than 1.65 m for men and 1.60 m for women;

Applicants’ chest measurement must not be less than 0.87 for men;

Computer literacy will be an added bonus;

Any certificate or title not declared and accepted during the documentation, will not be accepted after the hiring;
