Labor Party gubernatorial candidate in Abia state, Dr. Alex Otti, on Wednesday called on Anambra residents to vote for him, LP presidential candidate Peter Obi and others in the upcoming 2023 general election. .
He also expressed optimism that he would regain his mandate which he claimed was stolen from him in 2015.
According to him, the people’s votes will allow him to change the narrative and return Abia to the path of peace, growth and development.
Otti in his message for the celebration season posted by his media aide Ferdinand Ekeoma in Abuja said Abia State had experienced several years of rudderless leadership which he said had severely affected the well-being of millions, especially the poor. unemployed youth. and senior citizens whose salaries and pensions have not been paid.
While encouraging people to go and withdraw their Permanent Voter Credential, he said that the technological innovation of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System in the electoral process has given hope of credibility.
Otti said: “This Christmas precedes the crucial election year of 2023, when you and I will have the great opportunity we have been longing for to take back our beloved Abia State and return it to the path of peace, growth and development, after several years of aimless leadership that has severely affected the well-being of millions of Abians, especially our unemployed youth and seniors who have been consistently denied their salaries and pensions.
“Between 2015, when the oppressors brazenly wrested from us the mandate they passionately and unanimously gave us, and today, I have not slowed down or stopped asking critical questions and taking practical steps to ensure that those who have taken over our Commonwealth in Abia do not it allows them to continually enjoy neglected wealth while insulting our sensibilities.
“Let me humbly remind you that the elections are scheduled to take place between February and March 2023 in Abia, and you would have a noble duty to collect your PVCs, and also encourage your family and loved ones to choose theirs and vote. those who have made themselves masters of you.
