Following the leadership crisis that rocked the Apostolic Christian Church Mission, Omuma Road Aba, Abia State Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu ordered the immediate closure of the church until further notice.

In a special government announcement signed by Chris Ezem, Abia State Government Secretary, Ikpeazu warned: “Any attempt by any person or group of people to circumvent or undermine this directive will have serious consequences.”

The governor further ordered that “no religious or any other activity, including the planned church convention, should be held on the church premises, 34 Omuma Road Aba, or Eziama High School Aba or anywhere else in Abia State. and its surroundings.

As a result, therefore, the Governor ordered the Commissioner of Police, Abia State and the Brigade Commander, Brigade 14 Ohafia, to seal off said facilities and ensure full compliance with this government directive.

The church is embroiled in a leadership struggle that has been threatening the existence of the church and its surroundings.

Following the inability of the parties concerned to reconcile the parties involved, the government has to step in to ensure that peace reigns.
