The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) on Monday opened its portal for the 2023 recruitment exercise for interested applicants.

The Civil Protection, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) announced the start of the process.

The Board invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for full-time appointments to fill the vacancies.

The positions are Superintendent of Immigration (SI) CONPASS 11 (Medical), Deputy Superintendent of Immigration (DSI) CONPASS 10 (Pharmacists), Assistant Superintendent of Immigration II (ASI II) CONPASS 08.

Others are Immigration Inspector (II) CONPASS 07 (Nursing), Assistant Immigration Inspector (All), General Service, CONPASS 06.

The rest includes Immigration Assistant III (IA III) CONPASS 03 General Service, Immigration Assistant III (IA III) CONPASS 03 Artisans (Motor, Mechanic).

Candidates must log in to starting today January 16, complete and submit the online application form.

Multiple applications will be automatically disqualified. The deadline for submission is January 30, 2023.

Requirements: Applicants must be Nigerian by birth; Have a National Identity Number (NIN); Have the required qualifications and certificates; Be fit and present certificates of medical fitness from hospitals recognized by the government.

Applicants must be of good character and not have been convicted of any criminal offences; They will be required to submit to a drug test.

Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age, with the exception of doctors and pharmacists, who must not be older than 35; The height must not be less than 1.65 m for men and 1.60 m for women.

Applicants’ chest measurement must not be less than 0.87 for men; Computer literacy is an added bonus; Any certificates or qualifications not declared and accepted during documentation will not be accepted after hiring.

The date of the computerized test (CBT) for shortlisted candidates will be communicated in due course.
