New Nigeria People’s Party Kano state gubernatorial candidate Abba Yusuf declared categorically on Monday that he has the ability to defeat his fellow contestants to clinch the state governorship in the upcoming election.

In a press release, signed by the Director of Publicity, NNPP Campaign Council, Hisham Habib, declared his principal as the most competent candidate for the race, after the experiences he gained, over the years, as commissioner of works during the administration of Rabiu Kwankwaso. as governor

According to Yusuf, “My pedigree and experience is the advantage I have, which is far above other contenders for the exalted gubernatorial position. I also contributed immensely, as works commissioner for the provision of infrastructure development in the state, which is the main responsibility of the Ministry of Works.

“More than 80 percent of the road network and complex flyovers built in Kano were initiated and executed by the Kwankwaso administration. In my capacity as engineer and labor commissioner, I oversaw the construction of highways and elevated bridges to ensure they meet international standards and specifications, both in quality and standards, using my experience as a professional engineer.”

The statement also said the gubernatorial candidate’s 70-page plan will be implemented to further develop and transform Kano State “to another level of economic growth and development, the likes of which have never been seen in the state’s history.”

“The New Nigeria People’s Party leadership chose Abba, based on his experience and track record, as a works commissioner in the tenure of Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, who greatly transformed Kano into an economically industrialized state.

“Since then, the good people of Kano yearn for change, as the APC-led government has wasted eight years, characterized by mismanagement, embezzlement and nepotism, with nothing to point to as an achievement.

“Similarly, retirees have been swindled while civil servants have become beggars, while the education sector is already paralyzed, after the sale of school premises to merchants,” the statement added.

Additionally, the statement called on voters to ignore all forms of bullying comments from the APC in the state as the gubernatorial election approaches, reassuring citizens that the NNPP is much more poised and ready to capture the gubernatorial seat. of the state.

The Ganduje-led administration, according to the statement, had “disappointed most of the people of Kano, including the youth and retirees, while the party’s candidate for the gubernatorial race lacks the ability to add value to the governance, since it is a continuation. of the shaky administration led by Ganduje”.
