The thugs allegedly stabbed a man, Peter Nnamdi, to death after raiding a shanty town in the Ebute Metta area of Lagos state.

The gang was said to have attempted to rid Nnamdi of his mobile phone before stabbing him in the neck and ribs.
It was learned that residents, who saw Nnamdi lying on the ground in a pool of blood, rushed him to Ebute Metta General Hospital for treatment.
However, despite a medic’s attempts to rescue Nnamdi, he succumbed to injuries sustained during the attack.
Our correspondent deduced that the case was reported at the nearest police station and the police officers were dispatched to the scene of the crime.
State police public relations officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin did not return their calls and had not yet responded to a text message about the incident at the time this report was filed.
