A UK resident Nigerian, Taiwo Balogun, 53, who went missing on Thursday 1 December 2022, was found dead in a lake in Kent.
Balogun from Crayford was last seen near her home in south-east London four weeks ago.
Her body was found in a lake at the Bluewater shopping center in search of a “vulnerable” missing mother who disappeared four weeks ago from her London home, according to a report from UK Daily Mail said.
The Metropolitan Police said on Monday that the body of a woman had been found in a lake in Kent, adding that her death was not being treated as suspicious even though it was unexpected.
The force tweeted: “The body of a female was recovered from a lake near the Bluewater shopping center on Friday, December 30. While awaiting formal identification, Taiwo Balogun’s family has been informed.
“His death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious. Our thoughts are with Taiwo’s family.”
CCTV camera footage showed Balogun at the Lottery booth inside a shop on Crayford Road, Dartford, at around 2:27pm on the day he went missing.
In an earlier statement, Balogun’s family said: “We are very worried about our mother. She is very loved and a big part of our lives.”
