The commando’s police public relations officer, Ramhan Nansel, made the disclosure in a statement made available to journalists in Lafia on Friday.

He said: “On January 12, 2023, information was received that the suspected kidnappers were seen in the Sardauna Forest Local Government Area of Toto, Nasarawa State, where they took the victims hostage.

“In reaction to the unsanitary development, Commando agents carried out a joint operation in collaboration with Toto LGA’s Miyetti Allah Vigilante Group.

“However, the kidnappers were followed to their enclave in the Sardauna Forest, and upon seeing the agents, the criminals scattered in disorder deep into the forest.
