The fourth edition of the championship was previously scheduled for January 20-30 for zonal eliminations, while the final is scheduled for February 15-19.
Announcing the new dates for the championship, the Nigerian cricket federation on its social media pages revealed that registrations will start on January 3.
The main final has now been set for February 8-12, 2023 in Abuja.
The Boys and Girls Under-17 National Cricket Championship powered by Price Water House Coopers (PwC) is the largest grassroots cricket tournament in Nigeria and by extension West Africa.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian senior men’s national team finished second in the recently concluded ICC T-20 World Cup Africa Sub Regional B’ Qualifier in Rwanda.
The tournament, which is the qualification track for the ICC T-20 world, saw eight countries participate to leave just two qualification spots for the final qualifiers in 2023.
The Yellow Greens progressed through the tournament, breaking records and winning every game convincingly.
