Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Willfred Ndidi is close to coming back from his latest injury.
Ndidi hasn’t trained to quit at times due to injury which saw him sidelined against Brighton and Holve Albion.
It was said that he suffered a strained muscle in Leicester City training just before the game which ended 2-2 at the King Power Stadium.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round tie in Walsall, Rodgers said the 25-year-old midfielder is making a good recovery and is close to returning to the group.
“He’ll be out on the pitch at the weekend,” he replied when asked about the midfielder’s fitness.
“He should join the group next week.”
The former Genk midfielder has been far from his usual best this season, suffering various injuries and losing form.
The 25-year-old has managed to appear in 16 games in all competitions for Leicester City this season.
