youhe national vice chair of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) (South), Chief Emma Eneukwu, has urged Nigerians to follow the path of progress by securing massive support for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

“Tinubu is a man who has shown an immeasurable readiness to lead us as one indivisible nation towards a new Nigeria,” Eneukwu said in his New Year message on Saturday.

He noted that Nigeria needs a leader with a proven ability to carry everyone forward and build on President Muhammadu Buhari’s achievements in office.

He said that Tinubu, through his manifesto, had shown Nigerians the importance of electing him as president at this time.

“I wish to welcome Nigerians to a New Year filled with hope and security.

“Our country made significant progress in 2022, as we were able to overcome numerous impediments that prevented our growth; who has provided a path for a better Nigeria in 2023 if we can get it right and elect APC’s Asiwaju Tinubu.

“Tinubu is a man whose background speaks for itself, a charismatic leader and team player who believes in sticking to democratic principles at all times.

“As a Nigerian who loves my country so much, I feel that 2023 is the right time to have Tinubu as President as he would build on the achievements of President Buhari’s administration and give us a country that would be enviable by others. ” he said.

Eneukwu urged Nigerians to get rid of the lies coming from people with a negative background, “since all they want is to rule and not lead.”

According to him, they have previously shown that they are neophytes in providing progressive leadership to Nigerians.

“We can only have a new Nigeria when we support APC to continue; to complete our redemption activities and programs.

“A look at Tinubu’s manifesto titled: “Renewed Hope 2023 – Action Plan for a Better Nigeria”, which focused on national security, the economy, agriculture, energy, oil and gas, transport and education and other areas such as: health, digital economy, women’s empowerment, judicial reform, federalism/decentralization of power, among others.

“The manifesto provides answers to the issues affecting Nigerians, especially the grassroots,” he said.

He added that Nigerians could not afford to miss out on this golden opportunity that comes along from time to time.

Eneukwu called on political parties to get rid of smear campaigns, but focus on issues as such to avoid tensions and give everyone a chance to participate without fear.

He advocated the prominence of prayers at all times for the country “as only God can make it a trouble-free country.”

The APC chief urged the electoral arbitrator, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to organize free, fair, and credible elections in 2023.

He rebuked acts of murder under religious and secessionist guises, while calling for a complete cessation of attacks on INEC offices throughout the country.
