The family of Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, founder and CEO of the Africa Movies Academy Awards (AMAA), has confirmed the death of the producer who passed away at St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos, on Monday, January 9, after a brief illness.
Anyiam-Osigwe’s death was previously announced by his colleague in the film industry, Obi Emelonye, in a short tribute via his social media, where he simply wrote “Thank you and goodnight dad peace.”
While other celebrities in the fantasy industry have taken to their various platforms to mourn the deceased as well, her family members have now issued a public statement affirming her death, describing her as an epitome of creative transcendence.
