As a result of the West African Sports Betting Summit held last year and given the rapid growth of the gaming industry, the Nigerian gaming industry is expected to experience an unprecedented influx of investors, especially among bookmakers and casino game providers.
The persistent fighting between the federal and state governments is also expected to end. I am sure that the state gaming regulators will come up with a strong framework to unify and solidify the regulations. I also look forward to this year’s Supreme Court decision on who has the constitutional mandate to regulate and license gambling businesses in Nigeria.
