He said Jamoh was playing a leading role in driving the country towards realizing the Blue Economy, as well as the success of the agency-led Project Deep Blue in reducing maritime crime in Nigerian waters.
He said: “I can confidently say that having accumulated 32 years of service in the Nigerian maritime industry, Jamoh has proven to be a true Nigerian, dedicated to the unity and economic growth of the nation. I know he loves the maritime industry because at a stage where he could have pursued other activities, he chose to remain involved in the industry and I think the nation as a whole has benefited from that decision.”
Earlier, NIIA CEO Professor Eghosa Osaghae said the institute’s board of directors unanimously approved Jamoh’s scholarship based on his achievements as CEO of NIMASA.
