A member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Adeboye Adebayo, on Wednesday allayed fears about the health and physical condition of the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
Adebayo, who serves as National Director, Media and Publicity, Asiwaju Project Beyond 2023, spoke at an event labeled ‘Tinubu Manifesto: Speaking Directly to People’s Needs and National Challenges’, held at the Campaign Office Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Building in Osogbo, Osun State.
He also said that those who plan to use health problems to campaign against Tinubu will fail, saying no health problem can stop the APC presidential candidate, who said he was physically and mentally fit to lead the country.
He said: “We all remember that earlier this year, in January, when he declared himself a candidate for that office, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was seen traveling to the nooks and corners of this country campaigning and requesting the support of the traditional rulers and the Nigerians even before the primaries
“He is here because he is mentally alert and his intellect is solid. And don’t forget that to this day he has attended so many town halls and rallies.
“We need to face the problems. Is the man mentally prepared? Does he have the brainpower? Does he understand what we are talking about? Is your speech about him directed at issues that are happening around him? The answer is yes.
“He is medically fit and intellectually capable to lead this country and no health issue will stop him. Those who plan to use health-related issues to campaign against him will fail, they have already failed.”
