Members of the Nigerian Referees Association, NRA, who are on duty for Nigerian Premier League Week 4 matches have been asked not to lose the season’s motto which focuses on making the right calls.

NRA Chairman Otunba Tade Azeez made the reminder after a review of games played so far since the league began this year.

Otunba Tade Azeez, who said the NRA is reviewing the performance of its members involved in the league, reiterated the association’s position on perfect officiating. He said the NRA is working in conjunction with the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, through the Referees Committee to ensure the quality of refereeing on the national scene.

At the top of the ticket cookie in Benin today, two teams that have gained old positions on the league ladder after week 3; Bendel Insurance and Remo Stars, an experienced instructor trained by FIFA and CAF, FIFA Rtd referee Felicia Okwugba-Okonji will find a comfortable place in the stands to watch as a Zamafara thoroughbred referee, Nura Abdulahi assisted by an FCT policeman, Solomon Hindan and another Gombe linesman, Nura Ali, will process the game.

One of the must-see games involving another side from Uyo, Akwa United vs. Plateau United has Ogun’s Mojeed Oluwatobi at center supported on the lines by Orioha Chukwuemeka and Ikponwosa Imuetiyen of Abia and Edo state councils respectively. Delta State Council Chairman Dimas Ejoor is the Advisor.
