Club president Kumbi Titiloye said that despite the preparations and sacrifices, the support of the state government and stakeholders, as well as their prayers, are important to help the team overcome the challenges of the season, especially as the team will play the most important role. of their away games.
The artificial grass at the main stadium of the Kwara State Stadium Complex in Ilorin, the traditional Kwara United stadium, has been removed and the process of having natural grass on the pitch is underway, but it will only be ready in a few weeks.
Although Titiloye said that the team may have gotten used to the challenge of playing away from home with their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup competition, he said that the importance of support cannot be overlooked, especially due to the adoption of the Abbreviated . league format.
Kwara United FC is drawn into Group A of the Abridged League along with Nasarawa United, Plateau United, Gombe United, El-Kanemi Warriors, Enyimba International FC, Akwa United, Bendel Insurance, Shooting Stars Sports Club and Remo Stars.
Titiloye praised Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his support of the team, even as he vowed to complement the government’s commitment to the team by producing good results.
