The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission has shortlisted 139 companies for its Nigerian Gas Flare Marketing Program.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by the commission’s executive director, Gbenga Komolafe, on Friday.

Komolafe noted that more than 300 companies applied to revalidate their prequalification status and submit the Qualification Statement as existing bidders and new entrants, respectively.

“Following the successful conclusion of the SOQ evaluation exercise conducted by the Bid Evaluation Team, a total of 139 Applicants were deemed successful and granted Qualified Applicant status in accordance with the provisions of the RFQ (Request for Qualification) .

“To that end, and in consideration of Section 105(2) of the PIA and similar provisions empowering the Commission to that effect, the Commission hereby publishes the list of Qualified Applicants who will proceed to the Request for Proposal phase. of the NGFCP 2022,” the statement added.

Congratulating the shortlisted applicants, Komolafe said, “On behalf of the Commission Board and Management, I sincerely congratulate all of the successful applicants and encourage them to continue through the subsequent stages of the Permit Holder/Purchaser Program. torch gas online. with the applicable statutes.”

The announcement, available on the official NUPRC website, also contained a list of the successful applicants, identified by their unique NGFCP ID.
