The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state urged residents of the state to go and collect their Permanent Voter Credentials (PVC) saying it is the only tool that would guarantee Bola Tinubu as the next president on 25 February 2023. presidential election in the country.
State party chairman Ade Adetimehin, who made the call while speaking to reporters in Akure on Monday, called for the full support of the people of Ondo State and Nigerians at large to ensure Bola Tinubu becomes Nigeria’s president. in the future. next general elections.
He said: “I want to use this medium to tell our people in the state that it is their right to have a permanent voter card so they can vote for Tinubu and other APC candidates. Once you have your PVC, you will be able to vote on Election Day.
“APC as a party is well structured throughout Ondo State. We have 18 local government councils and we have 3,933 polling stations within all these bodies. APC has a structure in all the aforementioned bodies.
“When one has a structure, it shows that the party is alive, from the units we have 15 executives in each of the 3,933 polling stations and no party in this state can boast of that. In addition, party meetings are held regularly from the top to unit levels.

“Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s candidacy within Ondo State is beyond the state, even in the other political parties in the states. Everyone believes that Tinubu is the best material, candidate and person right now to lead this country to a promised land because you can only give what you have.
“In terms of performance, when he was in government as Governor of Lagos State, he was the best. In the legislative, executive and business areas he has worked. So you can only give what you have. Tinubu is someone who has the ability and passion for development. When you talk about human capital, Tinubu is the only person we brag about, except for the late Chief Awolowo.
“He is the only man in this country who can name at least ten people that he has developed and that is the area in which you value or measure human capital. He has the ability to be a mentor.”
Adetimehin, who also spoke as a member of the APC presidential campaign council, posited that “APC is a people’s party, we are a grassroots party encompassing all 18 local government councils in Ondo State.
“We do not rent crowds, we give what we have and everyone will see it. We have good people behind us, we have what it takes to run this country. 80 percent of the political gladiators in Ondo State are in APC and what we have under the leadership of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is that we are not divided. We don’t have any problems at all.”
“I can tell you that at the end of the next general election, Ondo State will be the first to win the election for Tinubu. Which means this state stands out as a progressive state.”
However, the Ondo APC chairman, who also spoke about former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s endorsement of Labor Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, said the endorsement would not affect Tinubu’s chances of winning the election.
According to him, “normally politics is played from the bottom up by not endorsing someone for someone. The endorsement of our former president Obasanjo is just a media comedy.
“When you talk about grassroots politics, Obasanjo has never won his unity. In 1999 he lost his own unit and district and to this day the PDP will never rule in Ogun State, where he comes from, because it failed. Obasanjo cannot dictate who we will vote for in the next general election.”
