Onome Ebi fired by Levante Las Planas

Super Falcons defender Onome Ebi has been released by Spanish side Levante Las Planas after four months with the club, according to reports.

The veteran CB was allowed to leave after an unimpressive season that saw her play just once for the club.

Ebi joined the Club in the summer as a free agent, following his release from Belarus Champions Minsk FC.

She has been struggling with her fitness since picking up a hamstring injury during Nigeria’s African Women’s Championship semi-final clash against Morocco in July 2022.

The 39-year-old was declared in excess of the requirement in December 2022, before finally being shown the way out.

Onome Ebi hopes to rediscover her form quickly with the Super Falcons camp for the FIFA Women’s World Cup due to start in February.
