Following reports that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar was flown to London, UK due to some health issues, the opposition party has reacted.
The PDP, in a statement issued on Monday 9 January, denied reports that Atiku Abubakar was flown to London in an emergency.
Reports said that Atiku fell ill and was flown from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to London, United Kingdom, for medical treatment.
The party in the statement issued by a former lawmaker, Dino Melaye, who serves as director of public affairs for the DPP Presidential Campaign Management Committee, described the report as lies.
Melaye also urged Nigerians around the world to ignore the “lies of unrepentant liars” as the PDP’s standard bearer for 2023 is safe and sound.

“Ignore the lies of unrepentant liars. Atiku is 100 percent fit and in excellent health.
“The British government invited the main presidential candidate, Abubakar, just as it had previously invited Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi.”
Like Tinubu, Atiku suffers from severe bugs during the campaign as he almost greets APCs instead of PDPs.
The 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has suffered a blunder.
The former vice president suffered a linguistic slip while addressing his supporters at a campaign rally in Jos.
Atiku during the demonstration almost urged the crowd to vote for the Congress of All Progressives instead of the PD.
