The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has denied media reports that its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, was flown to London due to health problems.

Dino Melaye, director of public affairs for the PDP Presidential Campaign Management Committee, had this to say in a statement in Abuja.

“Ignore the lies of unrepentant liars. Atiku is 100 percent fit and in excellent health.

“The British government invited the main presidential candidate, Abubakar, just as it had previously invited Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi,” Melaye said.

Some media reports indicated that Mr. Abubakar was ill and was flown from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to London, United Kingdom, for treatment.
