Atiku/Okowa campaign manager general and Sokoto state governor Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal described the presidential ambition of Labor Party candidate Mr Peter Obi as dead on arrival.

Tambuwal said this at the grand finale of the PDP presidential campaign rally held in Yola, Adamawa.

The Governor of Sokoto said: “I congratulate all our party leaders and members for all the efforts, when the campaign started, we had 18 contestants and the main candidate is Atiku and the main candidate is Atiku/Okowa. We are not ethnic fans.

We field candidates who are election ready and serve Nigerians. Other candidates do not have the experiences of Atiku and Okowa.

“As a former president, I know the difference and only Atiku/Okowa can move the country forward. The ticket reflects bread Nigeria. We will not vote for APC again.

Tambuwal criticized Labor Party candidate Peter Obi, saying his presidential ambition is dead and buried.

The Governor of Sokoto said: “When Peter Obi was Governor of Anambra, he did not hold any local government elections.

“How could I try to be president when I couldn’t hold local government elections? He is not democrat enough. As far as I’m concerned, Peter Obi’s candidacy is dead on arrival.”

Peter Obi had attended a function in Adamawa where he was greeted by a gigantic crowd, an event many believed would have shaken the PDP in Adamawa.
