The massive rally that drew a gigantic crowd was for the All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in the northern state, Aishatu Binani, and his presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Premium Times reports.

Regarding Binani, Buhari noted that for a long time, women have been away from the government, but now is the time to vote for a woman as state governor.

The Nigerian leader, confident in Binani’s potential to deliver, boasted that she will exceed expectations.

In Tinubu, the president, as quoted in Joe Igbokwe’s Facebook post on Monday, said:

“I came here to campaign for the next president of Nigeria; APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; and Nigeria’s first female governor, Senator Aisha Binani.

“Women have always been far from governance, it’s time to vote for the first female Governor to see what she really is like, I assure you that she will exceed expectations.”

Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar earlier hit back at his All Progressives Congress (APC) opponent Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, claiming he lacks integrity.

In a statement on Wednesday, January 4, a spokesperson for the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Organization, Kola Ologbondiyan, alleged that Tinubu is not qualified to speak on integrity because he has not cleared himself of the charges against him, that they border on integrity.

Ologbondiyan stated that by accusing Atiku of being dubious, the APC presidential candidate has entered an area in which he is less qualified.
