People’s Redemption Party presidential candidate Kola Abiola has vowed to restore the fortunes and aspirations of Nigerians if he is elected president in 2023.

He promised to bring difference, sincerity and true government and make policies that would uplift all Nigerians.

Abiola made the pledge while speaking to the Nigerian News Agency on Monday during a PRP-organized novelty football match in Kwoi, Jaba local government area of Kaduna state.

The PRP presidential candidate said it was necessary for Nigerians to vote for their future, adding that “the 2023 general election is not about feelings.”

“We will serve as bridge builders who will restore the future of our beloved country,” he added.

Abiola noted that the PRP was prepared to uphold the legacy of the party’s founding fathers, including his late father, Moshood Abiola, Aminu Kano, Balarabe Musa, Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe, among others.

“These are people who have been self-sacrificing and have lived their lives for the greater good of the people and it is a challenge for me and my vice-presidential candidate, Haro Zego.

“We have a reputation to protect; we are bound and drawn by the legacies of past regimes or godfathers.

“We will bring a difference, sincerity and true governance and we will make policies that uplift all Nigerians,” Abiola said.

He also mentioned that his candidacy, along with his running mate, would serve as a mentor to the next batch of future politicians, while seeking support from any and all.
