New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) presidential candidate Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso on Tuesday called on Nigerians to reject both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the general elections of this year.
Dr. Kwankwaso had this to say in Ibadan while appearing on the Fresh FM Ibadan live show as part of the scheduled activities for the NNPP South West zonal rally.
According to the ANPP presidential candidate, if Nigerians allow the APC and PDP to continue to rule the country, “God only knows what will happen to Nigeria.”
He stressed that the entire prevailing problem rocking the country started with the PDP and APC hence the need for Nigerians to reject both political parties.
Noting that Nigeria is now at a critical stage and no longer needs anyone from either the APC or the PDP, Dr Kwankwaso added: “Nigeria as a country deserves much better leaders than we currently have under the government. of the APC and the PDP. .”
He stressed that at present both the APC and the PDP “are dead political parties that have let Nigerians down”.
Kwankwaso warned Nigerians not to fall prey to religious and tribal sentiments in the upcoming general election, adding that Nigeria has many problems in the country and anyone who campaigns on ethnicity and religion will lose the election.
Emphasizing that Nigeria deserves “much better leadership”, Dr. Kwankwaso charged Nigerians to focus on credibility, saying: “Nigeria needs the best, let us have the best.”
On NNPP, Dr. Kwankwaso stressed that the party was making great progress and the party was a match to win in the country as it is today.
“APC and PDP can no longer offer anything to Nigeria. Some of them have problems, some have personality problems. Come on and do the right thing.”
