The Nigerian News Agency (NAN) reports that the meeting was organized by the state chapter of the Stakeholder Relations Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

Zulumrepresented by the Transport Commissioner, Alhaji Abubakar Tijjani, said with Senator Kashim Shettimaan Indian from Borno, in the running for the vice-presidential candidacy, the people of the state would not let him down.

He expressed confidence that the people of the state would show their support with the crowd that would grace the upcoming presidential campaign in Maiduguri.

“We have seen the crowd in the states visited by the Tinubu/Shettima campaign team. You have to make Borno’s spectacular to pass on a message”, he said.

Also speaking, APC State Chairman, Alhaji Ali Dalorirepresented by Mohamed MustafaHe said Borno, who gave 96 percent of his votes to the party in the last election, remains committed to setting a new record.

He said the party needed to step up its door-to-door campaign and voter education to get people to pick up their voter cards to allow more people to vote in the state.

In his welcome address, the Stakeholder Leader, Alhaji Ahmed AishemiHe said the meeting was organized to energize the party to do more in mobilizing the people of the state.

Aishemi said Borno had never done so well under the APC rule of President Muhammadu Buharisince it had brought relative peace and development to the state.

Aishemi also said that apart from the fact that the people of the state were well represented in the Buhari-led administration, the nomination of Shettima, his son, as the vice-presidential candidate remains another big plus that must be reciprocated with massive votes. by the citizens.

Many speakers on the occasion highlighted the need to mobilize the public, particularly those who have not yet collected their PVCs, to go get them.

According to them, the upcoming 2023 elections are special for the people of Borno and require everyone’s participation.
