Small and medium-sized businesses have applauded Sterling Bank Plc for showcasing its products to local and international consumers.

A statement said while speaking at the first edition of the Made-By-Nigerians International Trade Fair hosted by the bank, The Spa Melori Managing Director and CEO Carla Sonjirin praised the bank for creating visibility for SMEs and enabling for Show your products and services to the rest of the world.

Sonjirin explained that the purpose of his business was linked to relaxation, people could take time to attend to their well-being and enjoy the services provided by the company.

Eros Crafted CEO Ehis Eros said the bank’s hosting of the fair was important for the growth and visibility of Nigerian-made products.

Eros noted that the development would help SMEs to improve their sales figures. He advised the bank to provide credit facilities to SMEs to enable them to employ more people and buy equipment.

The co-founder of Zorkle, a clothing brand, Ahmed Akinsemoyin, also urged the bank to encourage other indigenous businesses to join the platform created for Made By Nigerians products.

Sterling bank’s Made-By-Nigerians platform is a hybrid international trade show to showcase products registered on the platform.

The fair was characterized by physical and virtual exhibitions, workshops, discounts, gifts, great deals, games, snacks and entertainment, among others.
