This comes after a recent development that caught the former governor of Lagos State taking subtle jabs at President Muhammadu Buharithe government of

Legumes reports that the APC presidential candidate, while addressing the gigantic crowd of supporters at his campaign rally in Ogun State on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, alleged that the continuing fuel shortage in the country was a plot designed to sabotage the upcoming elections.

He also criticized the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) decision to introduce new Naira notes, claiming that it was intended to sabotage the elections.

They do not want these elections to take place. They want to sabotage it. Will you allow them?

They have started to raise the issue of ‘out of fuel’. Don’t worry, if there is no fuel, we will walk to cast the ballot.

“If you like to increase the price of fuel, hide fuel or change the ink on naira notes, we will win the election.” Tinubu said at the rally at MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.

Obi teases Tinubu: Reacting to the development through a statement by the Head of Media, Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign Council, They will say onifada, Obi he urged those in charge of Tinubu to tell him to stop going to the Gateway state.

Remember that before the APC presidential primary last year, Tinubu was in Abeokuta where he went on a tirade, calling out those he perceived to be working against his ambition, including the state governor, Dapo Abiodun whom he infamously referred to as ‘Eleyi’ – Yoruba condescending way of saying ‘you’.

He also mocked Buhari’s previous election defeats when he said that the president failed (“O lule”) three times before he (Tinubu) came to his aid.

It did not stop there, the then hopeful also claimed that it was his turn to be president by saying “Emi lokan”.

Referencing the incident, Obi wondered why his APC opponent always seemed to get it wrong every time he went to Abeokuta.

The statement said:If he was Tinubu’s advisor, he would have advised him to stop going to Abeokuta. It was in the same Abeokuta that he made the ‘Olule’ blunder and how President Muhammadu Buhari cried on TV, ’emi lokan’ and all that.

“Now, he (Tinubu) is saying that the fuel shortage is bound to make the elections fail and how they are going to take away their power. Who are they or they?

“He could have been talking to the CBN Governor (Godwin Emefiele) and the Oil Minister and who is the Oil Minister in this regard, President Muhammadu Buhari. The same man that Tinubu has been campaigning for who wants to take over and keep up the good work.

“I think your advisors should advise you to stop going to Abeokuta because you make a mistake every time you go there.
